A wealthy man decided to move his gold and put it on an old and neglected donkey.When the donkey noticed this great honor he brayed out of joy. Walking through fields , where he saw another animals , the donkey brayed even louder because he seemed more important than them. When his master took the precious load off the poor donkey realised that he was not what he had thought to be. In fact the animal was still only a miserable donkey no one respected.
This story was often told by Padre Pio to show the importance of being humble before God. All good in a man is God's work.The donkey's fate will meet everyone who is not humble before the Wealthy Master.Yes, we only carry His wealth. Let us be humble!
